Symbiosis National Aptitude Test

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), is a mandatory written test, conducted on a national basis, for candidates aspiring to join MBA and masters programs offered by Symbiosis International University and its units.

The SNAP test score and the Academic Profile Score is used for short listing candidates for Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT). Academic Profile Score is calculated on the basis of academic performance in 10th and 12th standard and graduation. The Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT) process for all MBA programs is conducted at the Pune, NOIDA and Bengaluru campuses of SIU.

Some of the colleges under Symbiosis International University which accept SNAP scores are Symbiosis Institute of Business Management( SIBM), Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resources Development (SCMHRD), Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies(SIMS), Symbiosis School of Planning & Architecture (SSPA), Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Bengaluru   (SIBM, Bengaluru), Symbiosis Institute of Operation Management(SIOM,Nashik).

To be eligible for the SNAP, a candidate should be a graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) from any recognized university. A final year student in any undergraduate degree course can also apply.

Test Details

SNAP is a 2 hour paper based test with objective type multiple choice questions having 4 responses each. The test has 4 sections– a)General English:  Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability, b) Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, c) General Awareness: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario and d) Analytical & Logical Reasoning.

The first 3 sections have 40 marks each and the last section on Analytical & Logical Reasoning carries 60 marks. Each wrong answer attracts 25%negative marks.

Candidates must use a blue or black ball point pen only.

Registration: online; also upload a scanned photo to establish identity.

Test fee: Rs 1500

Mode of payment: fees can be paid either online ( by debit card/ net banking) or by cash at listed branches of Axis Bank and Indian Bank. Payment can also be made by Demand Draft (DD) from any nationalized bank in favour of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune.

Acceptable id : passport, driving licence, voter id card, PAN card or the Aadhar card.
