Academics:

 

DMU is the second largest number of National Teaching Fellows of any UK university, and more than 170 courses accredited by professional bodies. DMU has a broad selection of full-time, part-time and distance learning undergraduate and postgraduate courses, all informed by the groundbreaking work carried out in the research school. At DMU students can earn a qualification tailored to match the expectations of today’s employers. DMU’s faculties ensure courses remain relevant by working closely with industry professionals. Cost:

 

Undergraduate: £10,000 – £15,000 per year approx

 

Postgraduate: £15,000 – £20,000 per year approx

 

The above cost varies from course to course for undergraduate and graduate students.

 

Scholarships:

Scholarship is very helpful and important for students especially for international students. DMU offers a range of scholarships to support undergraduate and postgraduate students while they study. Students while applying should check for the scholarships options and accordingly apply for the same. Each scholarship will have different selection criteria which students should fulfill in order to avail the scholarship.

 

Accommodation:

 

DMU offers wide range of accommodation to meet the student’s needs. From modern university managed and sourced halls of residence to converted industrial units and traditional terraced houses. All university sourced accommodation is based either on or very near to campus and with the city centre just a few minutes’ walk away, students will find everything they need close to their hand. DMU has around 3,000 rooms on offer in modern halls of residence. Students can choose from self contained apartments to flats for up to six people and find the room that suites their needs and their budget. Once the student decides on the accommodation option they can book it online.

 

 

Library:

 

DMU’s role is to support learning, teaching, research and scholarship across the University. The university does this by enabling access to a wide range of information resources (print and electronic); providing a variety of learning and study environments; and offering services which support the development of learning. Its also have responsibility for the University’s Archive and art collections.

 

The main Kimberlin Library is open 24 hours a day Monday to Friday (during term-time) and also has extended weekend opening hours. The university’s Learning Zones provides spaces for group and individual work, and are equipped with workstations (PC and Mac), power for laptops, plus bookable syndicate rooms with plasma screens, whiteboards and DVD facilities.
